I'm just surprised that a free user has gotten 10/10 and 5/8 in under 24 hrs. Must have been really lucky. I'm also a free user so I'm content with at least the 10/10 prize, since my chances are rather slim at getting the car.
I believe this guy is full of it, or the luckiest man in CC history. I have never heard of any free player making 10/10 in one day, let alone being 5/8 on other goals. I wonder where he is on the mini goal, the other 3 items you need to get the tesla.
I had a similar thing happen to me on my camper, only it cost me 240 gold to get the quick getaway. I too only needed the one more item, I think it was the explosive. Best part was I had 15 gold left and one more open before event ended, I hit cash on accident and thank the CC gods I ended up getting it.
I know that pales in comparison to 66 gold opens, but wanted to share that "last item" frustration and the relief/happiness that ensues after you get it, finally.
For this event it cost me around 500 gold and won them in the first 3 hours. I kind of wish I was more patient, but I didn't want to leave good items like that to chance. Mostly resets with cash opens and a few resets and gold opens, when I got a few fails in a row.
Pretty good when you compare it to LTQ; much less gold, very little XP and better stats with a mod no less. So IMO it's worth the gold if you're a gold user.

well...for me it was all bad luck, in my time zone it is now 8 PM and I have 9 hatchets and 6 items, never gonna be able to complete this without gold(which I dont have of course) or EXTREME luck(got 8 failed openings yesterday, beat that)
Make sure you have a solid internet connection before doing a cash open. The 10/10 hatchet item is worth far more than the Tesla Supercar-- the modifier is key.
