Problem is that the unit just appears in your inventory. You never get a splash screen. So how do these guys know what units they get?

You get a splash screen if your device is open when your building completes. Seeing as many spend gold to complete their devices are open and they get a splash screen.

Unfortunately it doesn't give you a splash screen if your game is not open at the time of completion.

From the Toolkit for MW (and yes this is with the latest dataset). Note that these are with a level 10 Cement Factory and I-have-no-idea-what-other-upgrade or income bonuses I poked into the Toolkit that I already have, so adjust accordingly. These will give you a ballpark figure. Payout time is every 18 hours regardless.

These are similar to Lou Sir's numbers above. Cheaper to upgrade but lesser payouts. So obviously different bonuses than I have displayed.

The Toolkit's upgrade times are clearly wrong. I know that initial build is 24 hours. I'll know about the second upgrade time in 3 hours ...
