Sirius, will the next guild war be July 12 or in 29 days, or is the countdown timer counting down the 29 days for something other than the guild war?

It should be the date shown regardless of the counter but I will make sure the set date and create the thread for it like the previous event Giant's alley.
***UPDATE***
The event will start the 12th of July. We will have an announcement up for it shortly detailing rewards etc. The timer will be fixed asap! Thanks folks for reporting!

Thanks for early communication of the next war date - having these dates early helps with planning.
The new changes all look good at first glance as guilds are building strong teams.
The ability for guilds to form alliances would be neat.
How did you get your orb? Raids, mob hits, attack, LTQ?Not yet. I definitely checked it out.
And, I got my first orb.
Just kill some mobs. Jonny and I are racing to see who can clear out their quest book first. I don't know how far along he is, but I'm going to guess I am beating him because he is no where near as good as me at this game.

That may be so, but I NEED to sell my wife's iPhone (been 3 weeks now) and until I can transfer my game onto her new device you are causing me marital stress.
So being in a guild that has been accused of being on Gree's dev team I confess I have no idea about orbs! 😳 is there a splash screen or just wildly go and kill m in PvE? On any map? In an outstanding quest?

Just kill stuff. There is no pop up or quest. They just sometimes drop like boxes for box events, but with a far lower drop rate.

Is there a particular map you get them on or is it just random, I hit Giants alley with a full energy 1800 and got jack zip out of it in way of these elusive Orb thingy magiggies !
They're pretty elusive. I got mine from beating up bad guys in The Barrens to make some gold for the EB.

Be nice if when people join or leave a guild it's announced in the guild chat so you don't have to go searching who it was, also if officers could build walls for wars would be great!
is there any info yet on whether this will be a high xp generator? it sounds like a great team event, but we plan to avoid if it raises member levels disproportionately to stats. it seems there was a similar event in MW that was a bad deal as far as xp.
