Does tell no tales have Elite mode?
Lvl 38 prize High tech Combat Gear at 130 def 240 only
Scorched earth chopper: 4650/3100
Man, they sure do like giving out vehicles for prizes, like there go to!
I believe the Elite Mode has 50 levels.
Is this a joke? I'm fairly certain people that use gold to complete events are top heavy with guns and vehicles. Completely unscientific survey of my top inventory items when I attack someone shows:
18 vehicles
18 guns
8 melee
6 armor
4 explosives
(this adds up to more than 48 because I have multiples of some top items, e.g. 3 Classic Roadsters).
obviously I'm not representative of the whole population, but the majority of those top guns/vehicles are top event items-- let's see, of the guns and vehicles, the breakdown is as follows:
7 syndicate prizes
4 boss items
17 LTQ items
3 LTB items
3 collect-10 items
2 collect-20 leaderboard items
tl;dr: IMO, top event items are geared towards guns and vehicles. Probably because they look cooler on a splash screen. Even though if you were looking at someone's 500th strongest item, guns/vehicles are probably the lowest.
does it seem like the rewards for the battles are getting weaker and weaker?
Yes. And the energy cost is increasing for those weaker items. I can see why they threw in a bunch of expensive single-hit jobs (to spite pre-hitters), but the multi-hit jobs on later levels are getting a bit much for such weak items.
This LTQ is a big middle finger to all those who are 'preparing' the maps for those LTQ objective. Most are just single objective or one time jobs ... Or multiple are on maps where it cost you 3000 energy or more to complete it.
You know, I thought about this, and I'm just going to keep on prehitting maps in between LTQs . Eventually they'll have to reuse some maps I've prehit. I almost got to Financial District, and that one came up. Though there was no way I'd ever have the Hospitality District or whatever prehit, as I never even got that far in my normal missions.
48000 energy in.. Level 43 normal mode almost done.... Terrible
I guess that sounds bad for just the normal mode, but that's only about ~1000 gold, and since the Elite mode isn't much longer, it seems like ~2500 gold to complete is somewhat par for the course. I'm more concerned about how much more XP the jobs are, especially the ones from later levels.
Just find its suck and its just an insult, just a another screw for more gold buying.
Getting pretty used to this. Its GREE after all.
I'm sitting this one out. The rewards are not worth it.
