How much energy roughly do you need to complete this event. and how much gold is needed?

No idea how much energy you need, but I have over 1000 energy (and hence can get a full gold refill) and so far have used 560 gold to get to Hitlist 39. I don't know how long the event has been going on for, 6 hours? Which means I've regenerated about 1200 more energy from that (~20 gold worth), plus a refill from a level up (40 gold worth). Hitlist Elite I believe is the same but with four more jobs at the end. You can substitute 20 gold for 5 hours of play when calculating how much time in the event you have left and how often you play. It seems that one could comfortably complete this event in a 1000 gold, which is definitely worth the stats it puts out if you will complete the event.

Because there is no way in hell you will finish elite without 1000 gold no matter how your game is setup. Its par for the course for these events in MW and KA and in CC so far. More likely 1500+
