I have noticed this also and thought it was just me. Or I will bank all cash only to log back in and it says i lost $$$ during attack (not robbery)
This just happened to me. I had about 10 minutes before my building was ready to collect and someone robbed me of about 212K. How does this happen? I want my money back because it wasn't available to be robbed and I was waiting on it. Come on Gree, fix this.
Are you sure you have enough henchmen? If you have no henchmen, your buildings are left unprotected.

It has nothing to do with henchmen. People are robbing me before anything is available to be collected. I had to wait another 10 minutes to collect, but someone robbed me before that. I don't know how considering there was still 10 minutes before it was ready. It's some sort of glitch.
How many henchmen do you have? How many cash buildings?

need 6 henchman per building. one on each side of building and than 2 to guard the front door.
also one extra on the roof. in case things get outa hand at the gentlemans club

I always thought builds could be robbed before collection time. Thought I read that somewhere they can be robbed an hour or so before?

you can not rob a building unless it is up to collect in that rival's hood
