But u get the item when u start the upgrade from lvl 1 to lvl 2?

That's funny, not so long ago there was a guy here in the forum complaining there were no events for the high levels.
I'm currently L62 with 66K iph. I cannot even get the first level (15M) in 8 days.
I'm going to pass on this one...

I recently spent most of my cash and only have enough to do the first upgrade, would it be a good idea to sell buildings such as casinos and other high payout buildings in order upgrade the Pagoda? Also I'm not a gold player.

Not in my opinion. You will be able to upgrade the pagoda even after this event ends. You will simply not receive reward items for doing so. You would essentially be sacrificing a lot of high payout buildings, for a couple of decent items.

Ok thanks for your opinion, it makes sense. The only reason I would consider doing it is for the items because I've been really working to upgrade my stats recently. lvl 198 with 32k att 50k def

Yeah, that's terrible. Fight bosses and get in any syndicate with 50 or so people. It's not hard to get top 1000.
