Just wondering if there are any standard conventions people raid by?

I clean house on uncollected buildings to a point where they are returning less than $1000 per hit. People do the same to me and that's fine 'cos its part of the game. If someone has high manors, I will note it and pay attention to return regularly until they ask me (nicely) to stop and ally. If they start getting aggro on my wall, I return much more frequently...

Does the type of building you raid determine the amount of money you get?
I assumed it is random, regardless of which building you raid.
Eli, check out this sticky http://www.funzio.com/forum/showthre...ables-by-Level
Even if my stats were lower than the owner's, I'd STILL raid it at least once, just to make sure I can't make a profit off of it.

Every building has a return to the player some higher some lower. You will get the same amount that you raid from say a level 5 manor every time you raid. The first two raids will be a lower but same amount while the third hit will give you the greatest return. It will give you the same gold return every time you attack until it is upgraded and then you will get a higher return.
I do not raid anything lower than lvl 2 manors unless the times are truly tough. Conveniently, that means all manors lvl 2 - 10 are fair game. The convention I adhere to can roughly be summed up as "Feeling lax about collecting those manors? Wanting to rekindle the KA romance? Let Weezy help. I guarantee from now on you will nervously hover over those manors waiting for collection time to arrive, or your money back...in my vault."
I dunno about that correlation, water fountains are offered freely by those who are paying for the water to any passerby. This question is more of a moralistic question in "how would you feel about yourself afterwards."
A better response question similar yours would be like "If a house you visited had a bottle of 1991 red wine (whatever brand), would you drink 2/3rd's of it and leave the rest for them?"
I don't know too much about wine so just bare with me and assume it's an expensive wine.
Also don't assume I feel that you should feel bad about raiding a level 10 manor. I just wanted to offer up a better response question to represent this question. Technically you are stealing something expensive (a lvl 10 manor collection) from someone. Do I think you should feel bad about that? No because that's what this game is, a competitive PvP game with quests involved

Raid it raid it quick raid it all that lovely lolly.
Is the pope Catholic? OF COUSE YOU WOULD! ...providing your attack can achieve the goal of raiding.
I won't raid anything below a 1k per attack building. I will raid anything above that. But I don't hover on top of overvaulters waiting for a timer to pass, and I don't *intentionally* hover over people with good raid buildings.
However, I do click through each opponent list from top to bottom, one at a time, until each time the list refreshes. If your name comes to the top of my opponent list more than once - then so be it.
