    Syndicate start of Legacy Money

I couldn't help but relate this event to the American economy.

Legacy Money is when someone has so much capital that it's possible for their children, their children's children, and then some to never have to work due to the amount of capital that was originally invested in their corporation.

The differences between the top 10 rewards compared to the top 1,000 rewards are obviously significantly different, with good reason. Time and money are direct corellations to this.

Fight Club admittedly used a good amount of RL cash to invest in the Syndicate event. I'm sure the top 100 teams did. Hell, we finished 576 and a few of us used money to get there (we were a random invite Syndicate so I think we did alright, all things considered).

Now that Fight Club, and even the top 10 for that matter, have reaped the benefits of their initial investment, when the next Syndicate event rolls around, won't there be a pretty significant advantage due to the rewards gained from the first Syndicate battle?

After the next Syndicate battle, if Fight Club wins that as well with their initial advantage, won't this continue to get progressively worse, 1%-er style?

The initial response might be that I'm bitter because I didn't have a lot of money to put into the event, which might be true. What I'm more worried about is after my Syndicate gets their act together, cleans up the non-performers and invests in people who in turn invest in the Syndicate that it might be too little too late.

Am I exaggerating the rewards? Am I not really seeing what's going on up-top since our Syndicate was nowhere close?

I haven't played MW so I can't relate at all as this is my first "event" of this caliber.

Your analysis ignores the fact that the top two (three?) groups aren't competing against anyone except eachother. Numbers 3(4)-20 or so aren't competing for the top spots, but they also aren't really in competition with anyone under #25. The extra 10k or so in stats that the top players just picked up don't even make a dent in their 300/300k attack/defense.

No, I can promise you that no one finished this event and thought "wow now I'm so far ahead of everyone else there's really no need for me to compete anymore."

Yeah Dippy, I agree....and the health regen bonus the FC won, is kinda useless...You don't earn 45m+ influence points sitting around waiting for your health to regenerate.

I have been thinking about this also. Not recently, but related to the pre-syndicate events. You have the same "problem" there. Each time you get a significant prize you get stronger than the others who couldn't participate, were less lucky, or only started the game after that event!
This made me wonder, what modifiers have already been handed out before I started the game? How am I going to compete with them?
But it appears that if you take it slow, do some camping to build income, do some prizes, you can reach a reasonable level to compete with the veterans.

The top 3 prizes are picked to make the least amount of game-changing impact since those are glamor positions. If you think about the guys in those slots, the boosts do pretty much nothing. They help with in-game cash, sure...but you don't get 300k stats by buying cash items.

10% stat increase is pretty sizable - but the top 2, like Dippy said, only compete against each other. It's like giving everyone a 100/100 unit...no one wins or loses and everyone likes their shiny trinket.
