Even still, 20k resets, 500k gold, you can't have one player buy all the gold, so assume that players bought them in five vault chunks so that they get the first level of the bonus program. That's 50 players buying 10,000 gold for 5*$100, or 5*$60 if they knew the sale was coming. Hard to believe that they would have all those support requests responded to in such short order. So $25k or $15k, the difference is moot to most of us!
But would it be possible to have less players participate? What about 17 players buying 10 vaults of gold? 17*10*$100 = $17k, or $10,200 if they had prior knowledge of the sale (or had planned to spend $17k and just lucked out with the timing). Still a LOT of money for most of us.
I don't believe that it would be possible to have only 7 players doing all the resets. For the sake of ridiculousness, that would be 7*20*100 or 7*20*60, $14k or $8.4k.
All of those scenarios are based on the assumption that they are finished spending gold.

For the record, I've spent some gold, but it's more in the Top 250 category.I would have spent quite a bit more if I could be assured of getting 20% faster and cheaper building upgrades!
