Fusing with two one star armors won't give very good results though. They're ultimately a waste of gold and fusions stars unless you're very lucky.

I got the infernal once but I don't remember how.
I forged more or less 15-18 times

I got also a rageborne in the past that I used a lot, so far only 2 armors have been useful, rageborne and infernal

now I have a ruby plate that can be used but I don't know how.

coming back into the topic I studied the list of armors.
Excluding the scamming DPC (if you get something with the gold keys given by upgrading level from time to time and from epic bosses, it's a good thing, otherwise forget it, don't waste real money, there seems to be only monks vestment there, a pretty useless and gay-looking armor) the fusion can be helpful for 2 things:

1) getting a very strong armor, better than the "bigger4" (Roc, Swamp and so on)
2) fusing some basics into 2 stars armors for enhancing other armors after 50th level

Let's discuss about the point number 1
since moontide and aegis are not fusable and since the armor given are all non+, the best you can find is a normal armor. So the best you can find is:

1) Combustion Air/Fire
2) Clayplate Water/Earth
3) Guardian's Sprit/earth
4) Tempered Fire/Earth
5) Blackfrost Water/Spirit

all of them are better that the Infernal+ and than the average epic boss armor+

Boilerplate (non+),
Flamehunters (non+),
Sky Guardian (non+),
Storm sorcerer (non+)

are good, especially if you cannot get the level 43 of the epic boss (like me) but if you can get level 43 are not really that Important, their (non+) is worse than the epic+ with same colors usually

you can get just working hard in the storyline the bigger4+

somewhere close to the bigger4 (but slightly less) there are the basic versions of the Epic, reachable at level 15 of Epic Boss like, and if you get the bigger 4 surely you can get them:
Boreas non+ (Air/water better than Atlantean)
Eurus non+ (good water/spirit one)
Tortoiseshell non+ (Air/Earth better than Crius)
Jian non+ (Fire/Water better than Hydra)
Mantle of the beast non+ (good Spirit/earth one)

in few words, in the worst case scenario, without fusing anything, and without trusting DPC, you can cover the 10 combinations with an armor on the level of the bigger 4 (more or less)

Since seems to be irrelevant which of the 2 colors is on the top and which is on the bottom (if someone knows better please tell) we have 10 combinations:
Air/Water
Air/Earth
Air/Spirit (Roc+)
Air/Fire
Water/Earth (Swamp+)
Water/Spirit
Water/Fire
Earth/Spirit
Earth/Fire (Infernal+)
Spirit/Fire (DP+)

the last word is about the Kaleidoscopic, if the white one it's not really a big big deal.
Besides if you get it through the fusion you are not going (I guess but I could be wrong) to get the quest done.
The only way is to find in the chest 70 starmetal fragments and craft it (this is my understanding)

The black Kaleidoscopic seems to be non fusable like moontide and aegis correct?

for the second point I will open a new thread, I guess is worth

the rest is absolutely unnecessary, so if you can get with fusion the armors mentioned it's a good deal, otherwise is a waste of money.

PS is there any other use for the fusion stone apart fusing 2 armors?

this is people that
1) spent a lot of money and has been lucky
2) found a glitch and got the best for nothing (like watching the same video 200 times for 200 gems or deleting the application on the iphone to retry the outcome of the chest, I have only read about it, I couldn't replicate any of those glitches)

I had 20 gems sitting around so I threw them into a DPC because I'm a gluten for punishment, picked up battle remnants which is surprisingly terrible for a **** so I fused it with my Armor of Boreas regular and now I have Clayplate Mantle! Mild shock at fusion yielding something not terrible.
