Cool The Billionaires Guide to Boss Events

Welcome to my guide for Crime City Boss Events. I spent a number of months using my camper account to gather data regarding how much health each boss has. Post #2 shows the estimated boss health for each tier. Below is my opinion on the best strategy to use and other information i've gathered during my time playing boss events in Crime City.

    What We Know...

    • Do not start the boss event until the goal has appeared in your "Goals" list. Any boss levels completed before the goal has appeared in your "Goals" list won't count towards winning the grand prize.

    • The boss events have a number of different tiers. See below:
      Tier 1 - Levels 1 to 25
      Tier 2 - Levels 26 to 50
      Tier 3 - Levels 51 to 75
      Tier 4 - Levels 76 to 100
      Tier 5 - Levels 101 to 200

    • The number of points needed to beat each boss is different for the above tiers. They increase as you move up through the tiers.

    • The Grand Prize and the other prizes is the same for all tiers.

    • Don't level up into the next tier if a boss event is close to starting because the points needed to beat each boss increases dramatically. (Hence why us campers love the boss events) When the boss event begins it logs which tier you are in allocates you to the relevant boss health for that tier. It doesn't matter if you level up into the next during a boss event, it only takes into account which tier you were in when the event started.

    • You have 3 different options when attacking a boss. See the "How It Works" section.

    • When your health is full you have 100 health points. Once you've attacked the boss your health regenerates at 1 point per minute.

    • When you attack the boss you use 25 of your health points or if you've got less than 25 health points then it takes whatever you have left. However, you don't lose any health during the final attack which kills the boss. So if you have 26 health when you kill the boss you only need to wait 74 minutes for your health to reach 100% again. This can be very beneficial for planning when you can next attack the boss with full health.

    • Everytime you defeat a boss you are awarded XP, Cash and a Weapon (Common, Uncommon or Rare).

    • Any boss levels completed after boss level 50 are awarded the same amount of cash (Unknown) and XP (255) as the level 50 boss.

    • Boss events use your attack skill points and your profile attack score. See the "How It Works" section.

    • Its to your advantage to be using the maximum number of mafia your level allows during the boss event. The better equipped your mafia is the higher your attack score will be so stock up on explosives during the boss events.

    • When you level up during a boss event your health is refilled. Free players should use their level ups wisely. If you've reached the point where you can't beat the boss with the 13 free hits then you should fight him and level up during the fight because you'll get an extra 5 hits when you level up.

    • Buying a health pack (10 Gold) gives you 50 health points. See the "Health Packs" section.

    • Each boss level has 'X' amount of points needed to defeat the boss. The health of the boss does not increase whilst you are waiting to launch your next attack.

    • You can attack a boss 13 times for free. See "The Strategy" section.

    • Syndicate bonuses don't count towards your attack score when hitting the boss.

    How It Works

When you attack the boss it uses your "Attack Skill Points" multiplied by 10 and adds it to your "Attack" stat, shown below:

(Attack Skill Points x 10) + Profile Attack Stat = Your Attack score against the boss.

The above, is the calculation for selecting "Cash Option" when fighting a boss. The other two options are shown below:

Quick Attack (Totally Free) - Uses the above equation divided by 2
Mega Attack (20 Gold) - Uses the above equation multiplied by 4

You trigger a boss by doing a job, fighting or robbing a rival. The fight screen will appear and give you 3 fight options:

    Quick Attack
    Cash Attack
    Mega Attack

When you attack the boss you use 25 of your health points or if you've got less than 25 health points then it takes whatever you have left. This is why it's vital that you wait 26 minutes before launching another attack because it enables you to hit him twice with only 26 health points.

Each boss level has a score which determines the number of points needed to beat each boss. This score increases as each boss level is completed. The scores are different for each of the 5 boss tiers.

    The Strategy

It's possible to hit a boss 13 times for free. This is how it's done.

When you have full health trigger the boss. When the fight appears attack the boss 3 times using the cash option. Wait one minute so that your health increases by one and then you'll be able to attack him 2 more times.

Wait 26 minutes and then you can attack the boss 2 more times.

Wait 26 minutes and then you can attack the boss 2 more times.

Wait 26 minutes and then you can attack the boss 2 more times.

Wait 26 minutes and then you can attack the boss 2 more times.

Using the above strategy will tell you how many boss levels you can complete for free.

NOTE:- If you leave the boss fight screen with less than 25 health points it won't let you back in until you have 25 health points. Always make sure you enough cash on hand before fighting the boss.

    Health Packs (HP's)

Once you reach the boss level where it's no longer possible to beat him with the 13 "Cash" hits you might need to start purchasing HP's (10 Gold). HP's give you 50 health points but there's also a strategy to be used when buying HP's:

When you've used all of your health points to attack a boss don't purchase a HP straight away. Wait one minute for your health to increase to 1 and then purchase the HP (50 Health Points) because you'll have 51 health points and be able to attack the boss another 3 times. If you purchase a HP straight away you'll only have 50 health points which will only allow you to attack the boss 2 more times.

Using this strategy means HP's are a better way of spending gold rather than mega attacks. A mega attack (20 Gold) is your attack score multiplied by 4 so in theory it's the equivilent of 4 hits against the boss. Using the above strategy and purchasing 2 HP's (Total of 20 Gold) means you can hit the boss 6 times rather than 4.

    Boss Health

Each boss needs 'X' amount of points to be beaten. The points needed are different for each of the 5 tiers. The points needed to beat the boss increase as each boss level is completed. As i said at the start of the thread i've been collecting as much data as possible.

Post number 2 shows a table with the "ESTIMATED" number of points needed to beat each boss.

    Conclusion
    • Boss events are awesome for strong players at the lower levels.

    • The "26 Minute" strategy must be used to hit the boss a maximum of 13 times for free.

    • Spending gold on Health Packs is much more beneficial than spending gold on Mega Attacks.

    • The number of points needed to beat the bosses in Tier 5 is ridiculous.

    • My work here is done and i'm glad this thread has helped so many players

Below is a table showing rough estimates of the points needed to defeat each boss for the different tiers and levels. I've been logging my data for all the boss events so far which has enabled me to produce the below. The majority of the figures are very solid although some figures have been total guess work

My other concern is that the points needed to defeat each boss changes for some of the boss events. This has been reflected in the data i've collected. I think different point structures are used depending on how many boss levels need to be completed to win the grand prize.

Thanks to Tomatoneverdie & Minji976 for providing me with the Tier 4 data.

    Cheers bill.

The only thing with a gap now is how many health packs you can buy and use efficiently on a boss.

With perfect timing, you can get your 13 hits in taking 1 hr, 45 mins. So that would leave you with 15 shots at health pack. Of course, IRL the seconds you take to actually click would bring that down to at least 14, probably 13. Beyond this point you can't take your extra minute, and mega attack and health pack become equal. If you were to go for significantly more than 13 you'd probably need to give up on efficient health-packing at 12.

Of course, once you were reduced to mega attacking you could combine mega-attack and health packs to save significant time.

IRL it'd rarely be worthwhile for most players to buy more than around 25-30 packs, unless you have exhausted all other means to improve stats (which AFAIK nobody has yet done).

Thanks Billionaire for bringing this back. I know its helped a lot of people (including me ).

I hope with all the changes they have been making lately, they break up the tier above 100. And do something to balance out the tiers a bit more.

I'll try my hardest to get you more data for tier 4. Hopefully during next boss event. We'll see. :-)

So.. I saw this and I made a little start for a "how many healthpacks do I need?" sheet.
    Anyone want to add/change it?

    https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B26O...it?usp=sharing

Put it together in the last 20 mins, but I have to go... But I guess someoen here could make it prettier and add tiers or w/e..
I did not take account for time restriction on the free ones (can't really have 13 free and use + wait 1 min for 23 health packs.
