Disappearing paint boxes

I thought i was going crazy but i'm not. It happened a couple of times to me now that i steal a couple so i have a buffer and once i close the ap and open it again i lose a couple or all that i had stolen 5 minutes ago. Last time i went frpm 14 to 20 and came back and had 14 again..

Anyone else?

Yeah i have seen the same thing had like 420 went back and looked and I had 399. I figured I was attacked so I went to news and nothing . So who knows..

I've seen this happen a couple times. There's a glitch where one (or more) will be added to your inventory twice, resulting in higher than expected numbers of boxes. When restarting you are shown the correct amount.

I'm guessing this was related to them recently patching the double-click glitch (for those that had sent in reports on that).

I did a job and got a box. Tapped it to collect and saw my total increase by +1. I did the last step to finish the job and my total dropped by one.

No restart required. That box never came back either as I have been keeping close watch and have never seen a box drop and increase my total +2.

Same issue here. Boxes dropped from PvE can disappear for no reason and no restart will bring them back...

The boxes do not disappear, they are just counted twice (once when the box drops, once when you collect it). Like mxz said, the number shown after you reloaded the game is the correct number.

This is what happened, step-by-step.

1. Load game to play event.
2. Go to map to do a job to get cash for the event. Box total is unchanged from when the game loaded.
3. Do a job, get a box. Total increases by one.
4. Do another job, box-on-hand total decreases by one. Total is now the same number as when the game loaded. Not more, not less.

That's a disappearing box.

Ah. I see. Well those boxes might not be disappearing, but other boxes are. I haven't noticed my count increase by +2 ever, so I didn't realize that was an issue. Maybe it happened and I never noticed, but since that first box poofed I've been watching as closely as possible and boxes all add +1 to my count.. When they don't go -1 on me! 

In my case, robberies it's still not right. I lost all that i stole.. In general i get 1 box in 3/4 robberies and this amount is unchanged. I also only rob lm's so i can see exactly how much i get and how much will be added. It's anoying you lose 100% of what you just got...

Hmm, maybe they're an explosive and are getting consumed.
