    CJ54 - Duplicate Faction Names in B4B Winners List

    CJ54,

    I don't think you saw my reply in your B4B winners list post. You stated that " "Dark Lords Of The Sith" is 708th. You guys are "Dark Lords of the Sith" in 3228. Faction names are one of a kind, but they are case sensitive (i.e. capitalization can be different)." I copied and pasted the top 6000 factions into Excel and sorted by name. This is the list of duplicates that I found:

    I'm sure that these factions were set up before you guys put code in place to disallow duplicate names and that a lot of the I didn't get my rewards were caused by this. Is there a way that this can be fixed so that we don't have problems going forward?

    I am a member of United States Marine Corp our invite code is 566036501 and we still would like to know where we placed.

    Good job! This is going to raise ALOT of questions. And will bump my faction up at least two from 102 and we should get the top 100 unit as well. Could this be why the system was having such a problem?

    So the engineers looked into this, and we actually have a bug in the code that allowed some duplicate guild names (which wasn't intended, they're supposed to be unique). Those are actually different factions with different internal IDs, this has been verified.

    before this problem fixed, may you please post up the faction id beside the name too?
