There is a goal to kill the boss 40 times but nothing triggers the boss to fight
no splash nothing also no start screen splash for the epic boss event (no body knows when it started and when it will end)
I guess this is not an epic boss event just a glitch. may be it will start coming in from Friday......

It also shows in my regular account. But on my camper which i had the event. It reset my progress back down to zero defeats, but i still have the items won.
You saw the announcing splash on that account were Boss triggered ?

This is not really 'messed up' as it has actually happened exactly the same way for every boss event. I've had up to 24hours between the goal push (which I beleive updates for everyone at the same time) and the data push (which rolls out slowly to everyone).
There has to be a data push to activate the boss. Check your help -> about menu, and it will show your current data set, until this reads something along the lines of 20121227_6 rather than 20121220_2 then don't bother trying to trigger a boss, as it will not be active.
You can tell when youve received (or are receiving) a data push as underneath the data set number, you'll see a little "updating..." text in white.
Remember, for every boss event since the dawn of time, the first 24 hours are reserved solely for people complaining that they can't trigger the boss

That could well be the case here, and there are three parts involved turning know the boss event. It has been the case in general on cc that the update precedes the event going live.
