Sorry about the laugh at an inappropriate time.
That's odd, now that I think of it.
I broke out in laughter at a funeral once.
The deceased was a very good friend.
I looked at him in the casket, and it made me remember something he and I had done years ago.
I later explained to his wife my laughter, and she laughed, too.
Others might think a laugh to be inappropriate, I don't.
We all cry and laugh.
Given a choice, I'd rather laugh and smile, than cry and weep.
