I'm thinking do 2 on cash see if I get any open that leave me 3 hours of gold plus a few resets to see if lucks on my side.
I could just do what marebear said and cash it till the last hour.

Don't do it man! It's a trap. You'll end up with 0 gold, no deadly compact and a whole lot of resentment. I've been there before, and what I've spent sitting at 19 trying to get to 20, I could have bought a couple of crates. Only time I've got 20 was all cash only for the bulletproof jacket.
I think they have an algorithm for those who have occasioanlly purchased gold (I got a box from ft. knox a few months back) that lets them get really close to top tier prizes in the hopes of having them shell out 20-50 bucks again.
Good stats on the weapon for 15 gold,if you get it in 1 shot. Whats it really worth to Gree around 300? Its got better stats then the Night Vision MAR @300 gold but worse then Spec Ops Assault Rifle @ 525 gold. For what its worth I think I would spend some gold to get it

I see your reasoning.
In my past only once I got got 19 before with 1h 20min, till end.
Gambled on 2 resets & 3 100% opens & got the sanguine launcher including the other 3 lesser items for 75 gold in total and all weapons were of use to me.
The only thing was I promised myself not to use gold on the event and see if I could get 20, now I'm having second thoughts because time is ticking.

Wait? Yes I would wait, and try for free with in game cash. Theres still 4 hrs, but I would spend the gold in the last hour or so. Either way you go good luck
