Doing it is one thing. Creating a thread to brag about it is another.

Wow, that is some money! When the boycotts started, I thought if the big dogs joined them, they would take a step back and have second thoughts, and this would cost Gree some serious money. I know the first time I left MW and CC sit for a weekend, I felt refreshed. Now I have a much different perspective on the games. I still spend a little money here and there, but nowhere near the time I used to, and if buildings are ready to collect, I am less apt to drop what I am doing to collect.

Thanks for sharing, it really is an eye-opener when you get the chance to step back.

JTR - No one here is saying spending money on this game is better than spending it on anything else. And no one is saying "forget about the starving children". The picture you posted is heart-breaking. Truly. My point is, don't judge Ferr for his choices on how to spend his money when you don't know what other choices he has made. From what I've seen, I don't find him to be a selfish person at all and I have a feeling he does more than his fair share at helping others.

You obviously have strong convictions and I applaud you for that. I'm just suggesting that you shouldn't be so quick to judge someone you don't know the first thing about. We're judged by the same standard we judge others.

I don't think he's bragging, I think he's unburdening. He's talking about his situation with the only people who can understand what he's saying. Thanks Ferr, and congratulations on your re-marriage
We care about you, submit a ticket and we'll eventually get to it.

Actually i think it just make a small dent in their income. The main source of their income isn't the high rollers. It is the crazy about of players they have + the medium rollers. if people spend a 100 USD, they just need like 100 people to do that to match ferr spending per event. I am sure MW is being played by several thousand players.

I really don't think he is. He's been asked a ton of times what it takes to win the leader board events and I view this as just answering the questions he's asked all the time. I can see how one might view this as bragging, but from what I've seen out of Ferr and the PM's I've got back from him, I don't view him as arrogant or one prone to brag.

It's a ton of money we're talking about, that's true. And to take PJ's point a step further, those that $20k is a substantial part of their income will be more likely to look at Ferr and think he's bragging. (I don't mean that to sound like I'm saying you're in that group of people) Those that $20k is a small to (relatively speaking), will more than likely realize he's just sharing information. It's like a wealthy friend of mine saying he had an expensive steak for dinner when I ask him what he ate last night and me calling him a bragger because I ate McDonald's. He didn't mean to brag. He just meant to answer my question.

Again, I applaud you for your convictions. I don't think anyone here would disagree that money spent helping others is better than money spent on a game. In fact, Ferr would probably agree with me that it could have been used better elsewhere. But that doesn't make him an "idiot" or a bad person because he chose to spend it here.

I'm editing this post so it doesn't quote your message above Ryan.

That probably wasn't the most helpful thing to say at this point. Maybe you should just delete it.
