i got 27 last even but i had to put my alarm every hour to open a box ...almost 22 boxes open every day ..... but i made it in the top 250 .. so if u dont spend real money it is almost imposible to get there

Been stuck at 7 Arrows all day with cash open. Lots of gold which is helpful, but much prefer the Arrows towards the units. Hoping I can make it to the 15 unit.

How many dragons does he have at Breeding Den level 4?
If the answer is 2, the player might have gotten the bonus from his first purchase in an updated version of the game where you would have received 2 iron golems, 2 dragons, 2 liches and 2 death knights (reportedly)

If he has a ton of dragons, then of cos he is probably cheating. If not, it might not do you good to go all wildfire on him.

Just got my 10th... Not sure why I'm doing better than usual, but I'm not going to complain and hoping for 15 or 20...

$100 just for 11 arrow, I have had it. This game is going to be deleted. I get 4 crap items for a a arrow so that is 100 diamonds for a arrow! You will need over 50 arrows to get into the to 50 so that 5000 diamonds what a waste of $$$$$

That shock is common to first time buyers. There's information in the forums that will give you an idea of what to expect gem-wise in the events. Here's a breakdown for anyone else thinking of buying gems so you know what to expect.

Box Events:

For One stone/blade/whatever the item is; 120 gems for one without using resets / 200 gems with resets; on average.

For Top 50 - expect to need at least 5,000 gems if bottom is 50-60 items. Add 1500 gems for every 10 items the bottom T50 rises up. Ex, if its 68 then 8,000 gems. Be prepared to possibly spend another 1500+ gems in the last couple hours if you're hugging the cutoff. The better the Bonus, the higher the cut-off will climb.

The smartest and most effective way to participate in the Box Events is to hit one of the Bonus gem amounts in a month ($500/$1,000/$2,000/$5,000/etc) then wait to receive your bonus gems and then do a Top50 when you have at least 10k gems on hand. For the $500 tier you will have 10,000 gems total (5 x 1500 + 2500 bonus gems).

Keep in mind you will be competing with players who regularly receive 10,000-50,000+ extra gems a month.
