    5 years from now...

Lots of us have been playing more than a year now... lol, a whole year! Time flies, eh?

Do you guys see CC lasting longer than 2 or 3 or even 5 years from now?

Do you think you'll still be playing?

I probably will be playing as long as CC is around, maybe not 24/7 still, but in 5 yrs my son will be going to university, if he wants to. (woah!)

Honestly, no. Not unless they start updating the game - adding new buildings, new items, etc. -

I would be ecstatic if the game was still around in 5 years time and to be honest it should be a game that has to run forever considering the amount of money people have spent on it. I will play crime city for as long as possible because i've invested way to much time and money to stop playing.
    CC History

Financial District Fallout >FC's unbeaten reign came to an end in a fair fight against SAS on 18/11/13.

We Be Clubbin' District >Fight Club won its 14th district in a row and retired as the greatest syndicate in CC.

Nightlife District Knockout >Lights Out took 1st place from SAS by a mere 47,644 points.

    Bay Harbor Beach Brawl >1st. TAW - 128m, 2nd. SAS - 122m, 3rd. SC - 40m

If you play real serious, you could put your son thru college with the $$$ you've spent on this game. Just saying..

If they hope to still have the game around in two years, they'll have to do one of two things eventually:

    1) A full wipe of all players and a fresh start
    2) A deliberate campaign to drive older players away (This may already be going on)

The longer the game goes on, the greater the gap will be for any new players considering jumping in. Games like this require a constant influx of new blood or else they stagnate and die. In a couple years, most of the people who join will look at this and think "It will take me years to catch up to even the WEAKEST free players who started in 2011... Screw this!" Some will still play, but not as many. It will get even harder to attract new players as less of them join... critical player mass and all that. Then they'll just be milking disillusioned old gold spenders for their entire profit, and guess how long that will last?

So yeah... they've got to have some way of forcing the top players to eventually drop off and give others a chance to be king of the mountain. One way or another, that will happen if the game expects to last 5 years.

If the game is still around, why not? It would be nice if they added new buildings and kept it fresh.
