Personally, if there was an event where the top 25 would score an item that lets you either build two buildings or upgrade two buildings at once, I'd dish out for the gold.

if you break it down economically upgrading two building at the same time doesn't help you out that much. At the begining it would and if your goal was to get every building to level 10 it would. You'd be limited by the amount of money you have.
I imagine plus 15-25% more money from buildings would open up some peoples wallest even though it's just more cash ;/
