+1. I was attracted to this game b/c of its strategies (ROI, robbing XP/RP, farming...). But since March the game is changing a lot with the stragegy part diminishing and luck/money part dominating.
As a mixed free player / small gold spender, the only strategy I can employ now is to click 15-20 per day for 3,5,7,9 items in events and becomes an clicking robot (Alice was right on this). I have had every 9th item since the first event that had it, but what's the fun? Good items like scratcher payouts, events end items are usually sold for at least 50ish US dollars and are way too expensive for a Phd student like me... The leaderboard event is a climax, I believe. Watumba spent 1300 gold for 20 chips and was #1 in day 1, but at the end of the day 2 he has fallen from top 50. It makes me realize there're far more big gold spenders than I imagined and they are true contenders for the title "Crime City King". So I'm done with it as a small potato

Totally agree with you. To be honest I got caught up the first night and spent the better part of vault of gold to get 17 chips. I've heard a rumor that a few of the top players in this event have spent between $1000-1500 RM. That is absurd! At this rate this game is going to come down to a select few.
