$100 on Teller Machine Event, no #10. Feedback/thoughts?

Fellow Crime City Addicts:

I spent $100 on this event so far and every part of me wants to put in just another $20 to get #10 (no guarantees of course). However, I put a limit of $100 on this one with my wife. I can't spend more or she'll delete my app, not because we can't afford it but because she thinks it's turning me into a compulsive gambler, which she can't stand. I agree with her concerns now as I'm having a very difficult time not going over the $100 limit. So, I'm going to hold strong. It's onto cash only now.

It's truly a shame you can spend $100, open up 75 teller machines with gold(1405 gold), buy stamina refills, buy resets and still not get #10.

Your thoughts/feedback on gold/cash and events like this?

I'm in the same boat as you. Opened 8 the first night, hit #9 the next day and have been going back and forth with cash and gold options. Getting kind of discouraged, but I almost feel committed to getting this one because I've already spent gold on it.

i agree at the moment, i don't have spend all gold in event anyway, maybe 1000 or litle under at the moment, im stuck at 9.

for me that simple i have wait just Gold sale but i put some in event this time, the older event i got 9/7/8/6 all medium option, but look at now same way but Gold using... lol... that a joke but real joke €

funzio has a mind reading beam imbedded into its games. so it knew you were only goin to spend 100$ and made sure you didn't get the tenth so you can spend more. before you buy gold next time cover your head in aluminum foil and don't look directly at the screen, and raise one leg, that way the beam wont get into you head

Same thing for me too, except I'm still on # 8... Over 500 gold used since getting #8 and still no #9. I know it's a "gamble" using gold on events, however, I got the Devil's Take Down with 300 gold. Stupid me for expecting the same result with this event. I will not spend gold on future events as this has kinda ruined this game for me...

Your problem is your using resets, just use the 15 gold per hour for 100% open, only use resets the last hour or two of the event.c

I just can't bring myself to do stamina and energy refills with gold. I've reached my limit with gold opens though, in the past I waited until I reached #9 to start opening with gold but this time I started early and went a bit crazy with a bunch of shivs to show for it. So now I'm back to cash opens. I've come to terms with this event being a wash.

Oh well.

I hear ya, BOS! It took me 25 opens from 8 to 9 and I used 5 resets that I think helped me to get it. So that's 450 gold (30x15). After 9, it even got more difficult as I got up to 39 opens with 1 reset (600 more gold) with my wife opening all night cause she couldn't sleep. That's 1050 gold since #8 without a #10! Crazy?!?

I almost feel like Crime City is turning me into a compulsive gambler. That's why I'm switching to cash, even if I don't win the item.

What's crazy, is I didn't really want the item this bad to begin with. I would never had thought I would spend $100 to buy gold to get an item that gives me 50% more cash from robberies when I would never spend gold on cash. LOL! I'm crazy...or a Crime City Addict?

Your problem is your using resets, just use the 15 gold per hour for 100% open, only use resets the last hour or two of the event.c

+ 1 above and why are you using stam and energy refills? When you know an event is coming only use 588 energy at a time and hit Ma Sheng or Kane da Silva once (when you sleep hit the boss 2 times). Once the event starts make sure you have a full energy bar to hit either one of those bosses and you usually get 75% box drop rate. Try and rob / attack only people who you think might have been active since the event started so you can hopefully get a few boxes from them.

In day 1 use cash to open the boxes at least until you get 5 (possibly 7). After that you can use gold but the only thing gold guarantees is that the box opens. (Personally, I would guess behind the scenes somehow gold gives a slight increase in the odds but that is just a guess). Yes it sucks that after 75 opens you haven't gotten the event item and this happens to many a person after each event. You are gambling with unseen odds and sadly this is what can happen. Live and learn...

Blowing a c-note and not getting what you wanted, shame on Conzio. Blowing 2+ c-notes and not getting what you wanted, shame on you. That's an expensive lesson that you're not learning.

Why do you think Conzio loves the gambles with no posted odds so much? They know people get addicted to this game, and gambling on unknowns makes them filthy stinkin' rich, that's why. They keep almost everything players want to know about stats and number close to their vests, they won't tell us the odds on events, only that it never becomes a below zero number. That's a lie, or at the very least highly misleading. That number depends on whether or not you can get the boxes to open, and if they reduce the open rate after a certain point then you won't have enough time to open the required number of boxes to play with their 0.x% drop rate.

I don't even give half a sh!t about the end prize this event. I just want the vehicle at #9. I stuck on 8 for the emerald burner event, and I stuck on 8 for whatever event it was that had the ammo blaster as the prize for #9. I have made it to 9 or 10 in all other events, so it gets pretty annoying to get stuck at 8 when all you want is 9 and you are normally able to get it.
