Love dexter, breaking bad and sons of anarchy at the minute. What's walking dead like? I've read mixed reviews.

The walking dead is abt a group of ppl trying to survive from zombies. Hmm not sure abt the mixed review but I simply love this show. Originally it is from a comic book, then they came out this show but the storyline didn't follow exactly the same as comic. U shld watch it if you're a zombie fan. Hehe..

I know it's an old thread but 24 is definitely my favourite show ever. Spooks, a british show very similar to 24 is also very good.
As for what's around at the moment, it's dexter and sons of anarchy for me.

    24 is great.

To make it more Awesome, take a shot of tequila every time jack bauer tortures someone.

No thanks, that would just cause alcohol poisoning after half an episode, any episode at that...

    Thumbs up

    My fave tv shows:

    University Challenge
    The Inbetweeners
Law & Order (original type, not the SVU, U.K. or L.A. versions)
    Mock The Week
Have I got News For You
    10 O'Clock Live (Ch.4)
    Q.I.
    You Have Been Watching
    Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe
    Charlie Brooker's Newswipe
    How TV Ruined Your Life

As you can see, I really like Charlie Brooker's stuff.

Movies? Hmm... "Das Boot" probably. Amazing film, but the 6 hour dvd version of the miniseries, NOT the "director's cut" 2 hour version which is a shadow of the original.

The Right Stuff is fabulous too.

That's what springs to mind right now anyway.

Hope you don't go blind reading this :P

I’m a big fan of the BIG SCREEN --- and the little screen too for that matter :P
No way could I pick a favourite movie; any more than I could pick a favourite song. There’s just SOOO many.
Maybe I’ll try and narrow it to a top five per genre? (Thanks for starting a list joaquim)
I cheated and added a few “cross-over” categories lol :-D Really wanted to put Die Hard in the Christmas move category :P
Action/Adventure: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Die Hard, The Great Escape, True Lies

Comedy: Spaceballs, The Nutty Professor (1963 version), What’s Up Doc?, Blazing Saddles, There’s Something About Mary, A Fish Called Wanda

Drama: American Beauty, Dead Poets Society, A River Runs Through it, With Honors, The Breakfast Club

Crime: Goodfellas, Payback, Pulp Fiction, Scarface, Fargo, The Shawshank Redemption, True Romance

Romance: The Bridges of Madison County, Moonstruck, Titanic, Sixteen Candles, Splash

Horror: The Shinning, Paranormal Activity, Zombieland, The Cabin in the Woods

Sport: Rudy, Major League, The Natural, Jerry McGuire, The Karate Kid (1984)

Animation: Emperor’s New Groove, Lady and the Tramp, Aladdin, Ratatouille, Shrek, Beauty and the Beast

Christmas: It’s a Wonderful Life, Scrooged, National Lampoons Xmas vacation, Muppet Christmas Carol, The Santa Clause

Mystery / Fantasy/Thriller: Devil’s Advocate, Field of Dreams, Lord of the Rings, Groundhog Day, Willow

Sci-fi: Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Star Wars, The Terminator, The Abyss, Starship Troopers

Musical: Sound of Music, Grease, Mr. Holland’s Opus

Western: Angel and the Badman, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Tombstone, The Unforgiven, The Last of the Mohicans

War: Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, We Were Soldiers

    TV shows?
I think Deadwood is still my all time fav but there are many other favs too ---
    Game of Thrones
    Dexter
    True Blood
    Oz
    Spartacus
    Mad Men
    Rome
    Dead Like Me
    Carnivale
    Lucky Louie
    Breaking Bad
    Sopranos
    Big Love
    Band of Brothers
    Simpsons

Ok I'll shut up now--- gotta get back to watching TV anyway :P
