Just got my 5th gem and the Undead Warlock. I leveled up like crazy to level 51 so I would get the upgraded unit before getting the 5th gem - leveled up 3 levels for the event so far!

Man, KA is becoming way more expensive than MW, each reset and 100% chance to open cost 20 gems, while in MW is only 15 GBs
even the cash option is expensive $1,900 each try (lv-76)
I like the game, but will stay calm, just try the medium when possible and if I get to 7 will be more than happy
I started late, (lost 10 hours) because the event just started for me 1 hour ago
7 boxes of which 2 gave me gem and 2-3 failed
I only play KA so I can't really relate to MW. This event is new for me and has made me like the game even more.Originally Posted by spectra

Seems to me they might have made the gems much more attainable.
That would be great, cause in MW once you get to 7 takes a day or so for 8 and then takes forever for the others

In general, does it seem to matter what level monsters you kill?
Make that 0 for 3. Up to 6 rune boxes though (just can't seem to open any of them).
I am guessing it depends on your lvl. i am at 21 and hitting every map i can regardless.
3rd box, 3rd attempt, 3rd Gem. 1st Reward. Whip Master. only open with gold. 3rd box found in the blighted woods again, fire demon. At zero boxes again!!

I've received 1 box from pvp and 2 from random monsters in mid to high level maps.
So far I am 0 for 4 in attempts to open them using the middle option.

Lol trust 9 and 10 are gonna make you want to kill yourself. The first 7 are relatively easy to get. And like the person above me I have noticed that the opening price is kind of steep so I'm going to try the free option to get to 7. So far I'm like 0 for like 8 in opens LOL
0 for 4. Argh!
I went through the Temple of Abaad (since I can easily 1-hit these guys).... about every 2nd or 3rd kill resulted in a box. I haven't tried any of the low levels, since there isn't a point in killing anything that low for my experience.
Got 3 boxes from my attempts to clear the Murky Wallows.
