Bought 40 Pistols, No increase in Mafia Attack

pistols add +1 to attack and 0 to defense and one pistol costs $100.
I thought of raising my mafia attack and bought 40 pistols. now i have total of 77 pistols. but the mafia attack score did not increase after buying 40 pistols .. why? does it take some time for the stats to update? or is there some sort of caping to the stuff u buy?

i'm amazed, i wasted $4000 for nothing ..

You forgot to buy bullets for them

Each mafiamember can bring 1 gun, 1 melee, 1 armor, 1 explosieve and one vehicle.
For each level, you can bring 5 mafiamembers (level 1: you can bring max 5 to fight, level 10: you can bring max 50 to fight).

To increase attack, your weapon have to be stronger than the weakest you are using at the moment.

the weakest may be some melee or that pistol. i also bought a shotgun just to check. it costs $600 and shud increase attack by 2 and defense by 1

the shotgun is stronger than my weakest weapon (pistol or broken bottle). so why it didn't increase the attack score??

You might need 40 pistols to unlock a pve mission, then it's not a waste at all.

how many mafias you have? are your weapons more than your mafia?

I have 15 henchmen and 5 mafia members .. the total is 20
number of weapons is 358
number of armors is 102
number of vehicles is 14
mafia attack 383
mafia defense 614

and i'm level 27 .. guess i leveled up too fast and now getting beaten up by everyone

i want to increase the attack score. so i'm buying weapons. but now i figure out that u have to buy x,y,z weapon and not a,b,c weapon. i'm getting sick of this game now lol.
