Woo hoo! I just got one to drop on my second try and it updated my inventory. I emailed Funzio and hopefully I can get back some of the ones I lost yesterday.
I emailed funzio this afternon hopefuly i will get the ones i lost. i did get two more this evening and they stuck.

Apparently, I tried to pick up more M4's in Broadwalk yesterday and today, but nothing. Do you guys think it will come back after the server is fixed?

The issue's fixed.
They restored my missing ones - and gave me 3 extra - I'm happy.
I think you would only get extra if you sent an e-mail though...........
