How did your Sig hunt end?

I use CC HD as my camping account so I didn't go after any diamonds. I left off with 9 diamonds on my main CC account.

I play iPad only, and so didn't get in on the first event - so no lockboxes. I had a business trip where I missed the bulk of two days, and so went hard from the get go - only using cash - no free, no gold.

I got seven in the first four days - 1 diamond in the first lockbox, then got up to 3 by end of day one, 4 by end of day two, 6 by end of day three, and 7 by end of day four. I got a few hours in before i left, and got to 8. got my wife to long in intermittently (so I cannot confirm she didn't use gold, and yes, I'm a loser to have my wife collect for me) and when I got back with 8 hours left i had 9. I planned to burn through all my tapjoy gold to get to 10, and hit 10 and the sig on my second hour.

I hit a lot of lockboxes - probably more than 60. I have at least 30 items from the event. Based on the rate I received diamonds, my experience is that Funzio's decreasing rate of diamonds holds well. However based on my limited experience, diamonds fell more quickly with gold (very limited sample size though)

I ended with 125 unopened lockboxes and 9 diamonds.

I attempted to open 125 lockboxes, with 51 opens, for an overall success rate of 40.8% (all were cash only). By comparison, after the 9th diamond, my success rate was only 31.5%.

The 51 successful opens were:

9 x diamond
9 x $125,000
5 x $25,000
6 x 500 respect
6 x FBI Swat Van
6 x Stone Hammer
8 x ARX160
2 x Punker Jacket

I spent $1,500,500 opening lockboxes and got back $1,125,000 for a net loss of $250,500 but the overall value of the loot items was such that I came out far ahead in value.

You do realize that if you play on the IPad that you can download both the regular crime city (which iPhone/itouch users have) as well as crime city hd, right? Which means, basically you could have done the event twice.
