It used to be bad but I don't have any problems on Android now. Using 3 different devices and an emulator. All working fine.
Have you ruled out it could be your device(s) causing the lag?
Noticed the lag is worse, unplayable, on the 2 older accounts, not on the smaller newer accounts.
Android#1 has 3 accounts
Level 94, 4.6k units, no WD lag
Level 95, 4.7k units, no WD lag
Level 265, 202k units, horrible WD lag
Android #2
Level 118, 6.5k units, no WD lag
iOS #3
Level 258, 26k units, horrible WD lag
It doesn't appear to be a device problem, in my findings.

No matter how big the lag in the game is, it will never be longer than getting aan reply from support after sending a ticket.

The inventory wipe only brought the number of units down to 193k. Which did absolutely nothing for the lag, which appears only worse now. Just on that one older account.
Frontline is atrocious.; takes a long time for units to load. Takes forever to deploy; tapped like a crazy woman and had 220 deploys pending. After a shocking lag, 180 kicked back into inventory. Rapid tapped 160 deploys and 150 kicked back. On occasion I found that pop ups, goal related, intefere with deployment and kick backs. Sometimes. Then i got punted from the war, so I went back in, with a minute to go. I still had 80 deploys, but my units wouldn't load. They finally showed up, with 10 seconds onnthe Android clock, which means nithing can get deployed. My Android clock cuts off at about 16 seconds, meaning I cannot get say deploys in.
This game is truly fubar.

MW was running decently before the update on Friday on my iPhone 8. Very little lag, good game load times (15-20 seconds from game launch to first pop-up screen).
Now game load times are topping 2-3 minutes ..... and the game freezes a lot when PvP'ing ........ or loading the Faction Vengance list in Honor and Vengance... the spinning circle thingy ..... have to quit game and restart ....a lot.
Unplayable lag on iOS IPhone 6plus, this years SE 32gb and iPad after forced update! Getting sick of turning wheels on super long login and ingame actions, lag on these fluctuates but even worse today than yesterday.
WHY did you do a FORCED update, that was obviously not tested and messes up all iOS at least. Bringing nothing new just misery and aggravation each time the wheel turns and turns again when wanting to log in or call a boss, any action involving faction info etc etc etc.
The upgrade made any serous FL play impossible mainly as switching over 2 min, deploys hanging and rejected and information on the node pts terribly lagging ... now H&V is wheel turning slow , only hitting NPC’s on first map and staying there seems normal, and faction vengeance impossible as switching to the minis just takes to long, as does any start or move around in H&V. TO much of time available in RL
Are you really trying to piss of players by making the game so frustrating slow and aggravating impossible to play well that they leave by themselves and you don’t risk money refund claims for something that doesn’t work at you or is stopped by you?

MW is working worst on droid after last forced upgrade as well.
I have number of accounts and see problems on all. Difference is only in number of clicks between lags on old (large number of units) and new accounts (small number of units).
Where is any response from Deca/Gree? Not about gold-deploys issue but about freezing, login time, launching and killing of Epic boss, etc.

Test WD event demonstrated ridiculous time for every hit!
What’s the sense to test a change in WD if you have to change the core functioning to make it playable at all in the future?
Seems to me like a test to better tune the piano on the Titanic
