So crafting: besides gems, is there a way to get crafting material outside of the event quests?

Well dang. Maybe some of them will remember me when they stop by. I found a few in my allies list but looks like they're inactive. Tiki wasn't so chatting with her now.
Insofar as crafting, will it get to the point of being able to craft more than one item at a time?
