New gem event

Hey, apologies in advance cuz I feel I should understand this already lol. Anyways can someone explain what's going on this "spend more get more" flash reward event. I've spent the gems but am I just get the amount of gold posted or are they multipliers. Just a bit confused because it looks like a multiplier. If it is does anyone know what gold it multiplies? I included the pic so everyone knows exactly the thing I'm referring to. Any explaination would be great because for some reason this has me and a couple of my guild mates stumped. Thanks guys.
