Equipment isn't a bad idea. It was just a poorly supported one and with the 'right' direction, it could work.

I am actually surprise they have not done here in MW what they did in KA with equipment (I guess the programer that did it in KA was fired)

but equipment in KA is used for the EB event

EB health was taken down proportionally, and they also have special equipment packs during EB that will help do more damage

it worked good for a few months until GREEdy decided to increase EB health to the point that you needed at least 3 vaults of Gems (MW gold) to complete

Equipment in KA was from beginning. It is in core logic there.
Equipment is not intended here and is not needed at all.
And again: NO CHANGES ARE NEEDED UNTIL ALL BUGS ARE FIXED!!!

If equipment comes back in MW it will be for one reason and for one reason only: GIVE US YOUR MONEY!
The best equipment will only be available in the store for gold, if you want to stay competitive you will be forced to spend gold (again) on it.
Then they will change the epic boss event that it's the strength of your equipment that determines the damage to the boss, not your army.
It was a complete game changer in Kingdom Age resulting in packs of players leaving.

Yup of course it will be another attempt to milk any remaining cash out of this mess. At this point I honestly wouldn't care because in all likely hood it will be something I would not pay for and it probably won't work or work as advertised.

Remember the Battle Points event (or whatever it was called).

You attacked/raided players to get BP and there were prizes for Idividual and Faction totals.
I liked that event. Bring it back.
