Plus, I see no evidence that Gree is getting that many new players, especially not paying ones. I'm also in WSOP app and they are consistently in the Top 150 and it seems to me they are doing all they can to keep and recruit players. Craziness.
It's not just about driving out free players for server space issues. That is one part of it, but there is also the so-called "balance" issue. As Dipstik mentioned, ideally the oldest players, who are often some of the strongest players, leave after feeling like they've won. The fact that those people were (are?) selling their accounts was probably something Gree didn't plan for, newer players had a harder time following the game path that Gree tries to subtly coax people along, then stat explosion happened and here we are. Things would probably be very different if the original revolving door idea had worked out the way it was likely intended.

Transferring/selling accounts is a breach of TOS, and should result in the account being banned. Gree (and Funzio) showed where they are coming from right from the start by treating such players, and other cheaters, differently according to how much they spent. Spenders used to get reset to level one (with all their gold back in hand), non-spenders got banned.

If the game was run properly, the company's object would be to provide a fun experience which players would recommend to their friends. A profit would result from that. With Gree making money from the addicts has become the sole purpose. They probably wouldn't care if everybody outside the top 25 just stopped playing.

Gree has to go back to the roots.. where robbing and attacking was fun, and get loot item drops which really counted... I remember those days we got these snow balls, and every went crazy to get this consumable bomb, because it really pushed stats.

or we used to hit in map JUNKYARD.. JOE the scrapmaster to get these bombs.

new players dont know what I am talking about.

So we have this stat-inflation now.. then adapt the loot drops and store. Put some zeros behind all these items and make them worth chasing and buying.

Also for longterm-Players, we need some power-units in stores to buy.. like 1 mio att-def for 500 mio. cc cash per item.

Jesus, there are so many Ideas to turn the game into good.. are u a whole team, or only a 1 man show with few graphic designers?????

dont turn this game into a whole beta test... every cicle something changes... globe disappears, a raid boss, which everyone hates, leaderboard during war works, then stopps working, etc..

it feels like we are in a big beta test, how to squeeze out max.gold from players.. by changing game settings

I agree with sister and entrox on this one. I just think that pushing out old players that are spending money is a bad business model. Especially since, as I said, there is no evidence that they are trying to recruit new players. I think it's unrealistic to think that any new player would join today, knowing how long the game has been around, and expect to rule the game. Unless of course they have crazy money to spend in which case it wouldn't matter to them how many older players are around. However, if new players were to join the game and find that they could reasonably compete with other new players and have the chance to grow and get into top syndicates then they would find satisfaction with the game.

Of course many players read reviews before downloading an app, but in this case that used to be worthless because all the reviews used to be "add me's" and it took too long to go through them. If anyone found the forum do you think that would encourage them to play this game? Ha! I do t play a lot of games because I don't have the time to devote, but of the many I've checked out, this is the only one I found that penalizes players (or used to) for growing and actively disrespects them in many cases. Pretending they have a solid business plan and strategy does not make it so. I'd be more inclined to believe that the management of Gree was recruited from JC Penney, the U.S. Post Office and Trump Casinos.
