THE GREE could use free gold to attract more players to their forum and FaceBook.
THE GREE could create surveys and offer maybe 1 gold, or 2 gold for players to answer the surveys.
If THE GREE maintained the surveys, it would ensure no hanky panky occurred.
Plus, THE GREE could get some insight into what players want and don't want in game play.
THE GREE could also use their forum or FaceBook to poll their players about game play and player dissatisfaction.
Just a couple random thoughts, again!!!

I don't think Greebwould do that as it would give out more gold, the polls would be a negative for them, and I'm sure gree would create another glitch and blame the players for it.
