knowing gree they will either make it top prise in an fltq or a top 5 tier spot for division in wd not realizing they could just make the gold they would from that by selling it in store. sure the top 5 division might make them a few thousand dollars but putting it in store were anyone can buy it will make them a lot more.. but gree don't think that way

No one know. Most gaming companies believe in balance and fun gaming for all and understand selling to as many players vs the top 1% is the best way to make money. Putting a +3 energy regen unit in the store for 125 gold makes more money than speed master event would and it would continue to make money since its in the store, as new players can get it. This is basic knowledge here yet GREE insist on giving to the top 1%. Most of us here are willing to spend but not the 300+ plus bucks an event they are asking.
The main way to get change is to get the top players to boycott gold usage but they wont, even though they say they will.
The official answer is "working as intended"
