Well, I played for two years with a faction mate that now runs with SUP, and still chat. He spends for his gold, in fact we both spent about the same. I stopped, he kept going. coupled with careful manipulation of the bonus gold system using PayPal accounts etc to pool resources and maximise bonus gold on a rota system through players and events it's all legit money. so all conspiracy theories aren't worth the pixels they're written on.

People spending hundreds of thousands on gree is no different to hundreds of thousands on food, cars, casinos, online gambling, clothes........ People that have it, spend it. As a percentage of wealth it's probably spent with the same amount of thought as you would give buying a cup of coffee.

And given the way gree runs anything else, do you really think they could successfully run a conspiracy this big in the game without it blowing up in their face within the first couple of weeks???

i have heard rumors of gree giving certain players from a certain faction gold for getting other players to buy more gold. i don't have any idea if it is true or not but it would be smart of gree to give back to the leaders of factions that get players to spend a certain amount of money on this game to make mins.
