Gree matchups wow!!!!!!!

The team I am on is currently ranked top 75(early in war wont be final placement). ANyway we just got matched upto Bjnbb(yes its real). I don't mind an easy fight(kinda boring but a win is a win) but this is a total gree up. This was a one man faction(kudos thought they went extinct) and the one players actually has decent stats but his rank is 3592 at the time of this war. and lets talk the fact that total stats are supposed to reflect in matchups as well.. the Bnjbb's faction total defense was 118b my lvl 88 has higher defense and that is just one player on my team. so mypoint and question did gree adjust the match up algorithm again or can we expect these kind of match ups in future. totally unfair to the other team in this case since he was only able to hit our weakest members(not sure what his attack was so assuming he had at least one target).. Thanks to the player as he did try so kudos to him .. but gree whats the deal
