The last one I did was Championship Round 42, where I had to attack 100 people with 500 or more mafia members.

yup... that would be the last so far (round 42, 3 exelero, 3 rpgs)..... every now and then u will get the hardcore hitman... but thats about it

42 was the last one for me. Haven't had any thug or streak goals in a while either, but I don't remember the last numbers. I still get hitman goals every couple of level-ups, currently 71.

I have this issue too and its a pain in the ass, I am up to the one where you need to beat people with 240 but no one turns up on my list. You need to just keep adding members untill you have close enough so they show a real pain though considering you probably don't have the equipment to fit them out and are just adding them for this goal.
Your going to need those guys anyway so no harm in getting 500mafia equipped or not.
I find it pretty ironic that people who refuse to use a high number of mafia are frustrated because they can't find people with a high number of mafia to fight.

Do all of the challanges (thug life, championship, etc..) end on round 42?
Yes.... BUT, you still have many goals/challanges based on ATT and DEF stats, plus hitman goals (every 3 lvls), that pay out in respect coins.
