You do understand that if you spend 5,000 gems doing anything you get the Scorpius Mantle as listed. So you can totally buy the 2700 Chest and that'll count towards the armor.

Maybe learn how the events work first before posting?

the Gems count anywhere.
Usually people use the Gemtaculars to combine a T10/#1 run with some chesting.

If the rewards weren't so terrible and laughable lately, those 5k Events would still be a nice thing.
Currently they are pathetic. Hey let's get an outdated Mono+ for spending 5k somewhere else..WHY NOT on the Mono chest, lolol.

Well, if it's true for fusing that epic + epic -> epic (100%) , then monos are nice for lots of people. Though _fusable_ monos are the best, since they reduce options even further. (for ex, Blazeborne + Ronan should have only 4 outcomes then)
