Does anybody have the formula for raid boss damage?

    Hi,

I've been working on a spreadsheet for calculating the damage done to the raid boss and his damage to my Knights to optimize my rings&amulets usage against the raid bosses. Has anybody cracked the formula for this?

Raid Boss Level Health Attack Defense Cost (gold) Points For Defeating Time Damage Per Attack # of attacks needed Net Points
    1 3,000 900 900 2,000 150 0:30:00 3000 1 3,150
    2 70,000 1,090 900 10,000 10,000 1:00:00 70,000 1 80,000
    3 700,000 1,200 900 20,000 675,000 4:00:00 54,000 13 1,375,000
    4 3,300,000 1,350 900 35,000 5,500,000 12:00:00 40,000 83 8,800,000
    5 5,700,000 1,460 900 60,000 13,500,000 24:00:00 30,000 190 19,200,000
    6 8,000,000 1,500 900 100,000 28,000,000 48:00:00 20,000 400 36,000,000

    Here's the math:

    1 attack beats a level 2 - you get 80,000 points
    13 attacks beat a level 2 - you get 1,037,037 points

13 attacks beats a level 3 - you get 1,375,00 points - earning 337,93 more points for the guild

You start to loose points once you start to get to level 4 or above because the raid boss defeats your knights quicker, thus you have less attacks on it.

So - unless you have a bunch of guild members to gang up on level 3's - just beat down level 2's all day long.

    Good luck.

Thanks HRDerbySean, but this was not what I was looking for. If my main has 3k Attack and 2.5k defense, I do maybe 1k damage on the raid boss while he does maybe 20 points on me. I'm looking for the formula which is used to calculate my 1k damage and his 20 points of damage, that I can do a spreadsheet where I can insert my rings/amulets and see how they affect the damage done/taken.

In your example I want to know why I do 54k damage to a lvl3 while only 40k to a lvl4. If I switch my ring/amulet, how will that affect the damage done. Getting a hp amulet might save one more hit and I do 1000 more damage, but if I take instead an amulet increasing my damage to 1050, it is actually better due to my 20 hits and four triple damage hits. Then on average I do 600 more damage excluding normal criticals/misses. This is what I want to optimize.

I would also like to know the math behind the attack / defense damage. I'm not sure if anyone has figured this out yet.

I think the following (still) applies to all damage in game:

    Still usable epics: Forgestone+/Ravage/Necro/Druid, Specter/Komodo
if "boss fight is close" then "insert miss at the last moment" end

Well, not completely... If you can kill it in 1 attack, then it's all about overkilling it as much as possible with 2 element strengths and as much attack as possible on a crit as last hit before it's dead.
I haven't leveled my rings/amulets yet, so my Ravage crits this boss for about 3375 I think, getting to about 72000/70000 most of the time (2000 overkill), netting about 82000 points.
TLDR; if you can 1-attack kill, make 3rd knight 2 elements strong against raid boss with ATK ring/amulet, time your last crit.

Thanks for this, and yes the formula presented by BethMo fits when I punched it in a spreadsheet, only the Magic numbers for the boss damage on my knights is different, or actually the level of a raid boss isn't directly compatible with EB levels, when I used 18, 36, 54, 72 for bosses 1-4, the damage was right with round down.

Silent - I see it wasn't the question you were asking. I didn't give you my base line. My knights were lvl 100+ wearing FIRE/spirit - FIRE/air - FIRE/air armors vs. the Spirit/Air Raid Boss. So I was dealing extra damage but not incurring extra damage.

My opinion is that since the Raid Boss DEFENSE is constant at 900 - I always equip ATTACK damage bonus rings & amulets. The quicker I can defeat the boss - the less damage I take.

I maybe over killing a level 2 - but not enough other knights in my guild can deal enough damage to a level 3 to make it worth it.
