Front Line control points

Does anyone know exactly how they are factored into play? Or how they are earned for the final total? It isn't explained in the front line menu. Thanks in advance.

As I understand it your faction gets 1:1 whatever points it puts on the board. This is your base score.

At the end of the war, the point values on whatever nodes you hold are added to your base score for your final score.
