What the heck is Swamp Assault?

Lost in all the issues is the fact that we have a new event due to start possibly in a few hours, Swamp Assault.
Gree, how about a heads up on this?

How does it work?
Is it a guild event?
Is it like war?
Is this the kind of war where we lose all the units we commit?

Seriously, if you want to keep any of your player base, we need to know about this BEFORE IT STARTS!

It's a 72h PvP event, that's all I know. Found it in the AMA from February 13th.

Will it be as simple as there taster defeat 10 from battle list, then 15 then 20 or be a little more interesting really I have no clue

PvP events are mostly useless and boring. They're either too easy (just defeat X number of people) or stupidly asinine (destroy X number of Castles).

Swamp Assault will be a 72 hour raiding event based around the newly rereleased buildings. The goals will be the same each day, and if you complete all 3 days you will receive a wrapper prize. We originally intended it to begin earlier, but the date has been pushed back to Friday. Apologies for the confusion, we are updating the in-game schedule. You will all have a full 72 hours to participate.

So we have to raid buildings that peeps are still upgrading? That will bring a new level of frustration to the game. Having to raid buildings that are un-raidable. Thanks a lot!

He said the new re-released buildings. There should be plenty of those out there.

I hope he didn't mean the brand new buildings, as those will be impossible to find.
