I'm not concerned about the accomplices either way.
I just started a new mini a few weeks ago, and it did automatically come with the first accomplice.
Fortunately my stats of my other players didn't depend on accomplices to win/lose fights against rivals.
It is what it is. I'd rather time be spent on fixing game play issues prior to any accomplice decisions.
Still like the game and keep playing on.
