install a line of fences in front of your home. put multiple signs in your front yard, "trespassers will be shot point blank". buy some pipes, paint them black and stick em outta windows like they are guns. dig a few trenches, put some sand bags around them and stick out pipes.

Whatever you are doing to raise your offense do the exact opposite and it will raise your defense.

To raise your defense, the best way is to try and place for a defense mod during battle of empire city and attest assault. Also just complete all the events, including LTQ if it's worth it.
