Ok, it really does take away the sweetness of having your best ever WD finish when you see all your stats DROP instead of RISE immediately after WD.
Can we maybe consider making the sum total of the temp atk/def bonuses be less than the sum total of all the WD bonuses if you earn a respectable rank? Say, anyone top 250 and above would see their stats go up instead of down after war ends?

Amen to that. I'm always excited to see my stats after the prizes are delivered...but then I am immediately ticked off for the reasons above.
If you don't want to see your stats go down after WD, there is one simple solution.

That makes no sense, if they are DOING NOTHING and don't get the temp boosts then they are also DOING NOTHING for wd. Stats unchanged.

You can just screen shot your stats right after WD, when bonuses are removed. You can then compare your new stats too your old, unboosted, stats. Easiest way I know.

I record my stats at end of every WD. So don't compare them to temp, compare growth from end of one cycle to the next. Thats how I get my fix. Been doing it since Brazil. It does appear the units are much smaller since equipment.
