Here's an idea. What if the triple strike we all got actually worked then maybe we could reach the community goal. Crazy idea I know but imagine the possibilities if things functioned as advertised.

I don't know if it's true for other factions, but in mine most people didn't know about the community goals since there was no pop up screen letting us know.. Even now people are not clear about what they are supposed to do in this "community" event.. We are spreading the word somehow.

There should be one in game that popups for players.

There is one titled something about a new game . it shows up periodically. But it still says it is based on BP and not WD scores .

This event is so typical GREE and disgusting. Just as its seen how far away the 'community' drifts from GREE's goal for us to reach they give us a grateful 'double' bonus..
If the oh so great community would performed better then thought, a much more awesome boost would been disclosed! A 0.5x counter! Thanks GREE! Thank you for this very nice event! YOU KICK!

5 hours have passes since the last 24 hour cycle finish, and gree still has not post the total to date points as of 11am PST

that could mean

1- points increase are so low, they are trying to figure out a way to make the community "participate" more
maybe they will post that points score now will be triple

2- they all went home for the holidays

Interesting.... If you look at the numbers the participation drops each day with the biggest drop on the day they doubled the WD points.....

Several factors.

Closer to Christmas, people are traveling (out of their Wi-Fi zones)
Budgets are being redirected towards fuel, shopping and presents.
Player burn-out (too much tapping, unlikely I know)
D.G.A.F.F. - Don't Give A Frick Factor on the rise.

This "community event" for gree will feel like, stumbling and falling on a rock, picking up the rock mad and throwing it just to have it hit the fence bounce back and hit them in the face

Only if the have had left the event as it was originally intended with BP, they would had gain lots of goodwill from all players as we as a community could had actually completed all goals, but they rather prefer to act like Scrooge

Next " community event" ............hopefully never, we do not need more bait and switch tactics, thank you very much

Starting 12/21 @ 1pm PST, WD POINTS COUNT DOUBLE (2x) for the community event!
Starting 12/13 @ noon PST, WD POINTS COUNT QUADRUPLE (4x) for the community event.

the sad part is that tomorrow, they will give everyone the FIRST tier prize, and then "thank" the whole community for making this first ever community event a HUGE success.........and then some trolls will say, "thank you gree, you are awesome"
