I wrote a big reply but the forum kicked me off before I could press reply, at least the game and forum are consistent!

I would say WD points are down at least 40% on my average attack, which sort of makes sense - hit points down 40% - gold sale on 40%...

I've seen great WD points so far this war. Probably averaging 325 - many were 388. All hits are on levels above me though.

Still have no idea WHY I'm winning those battles though.
