If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at designing a character for a game, now’s your chance! We are holding a “Design an Epic Boss” Contest! Create a unique character worthy of battling in Knights and Dragons! The winning submission will be used to create an Epic Boss that will appear in the game!

Ten finalist entries will be chosen by Community Manager and the Development Team. The final winner will be determined by community vote!

• December 15th through December 21st (12 Midnight PDT) - Community Voting

• In order to be eligible, your submission must adhere to the following rules
• Your submission must adhere to GREE’s Terms of Service

Submission Requirements

When submitting your entry, make sure that you include the following

• The name of your Epic Boss (please keep name in theme with the game)
• A backstory for your Epic Boss
• A description and/or artwork of what your Epic Boss looks like
• Your Friend Code
• An active and enabled forum account (winners will be contacted via PM)

For your entry to be considered eligible the Epic Boss must be one of the following Element Combinations:

• Spirit
• Fire/Air
• Spirit/Air
• Spirit/Earth

Judging Criteria

Your entry will be judged on the following criteria

• Creativity
• How well your entry fits the theme of Knights & Dragons

Restrictions and Conditions

• Limited to 3 entries per participant
• Prizes can only be distributed to the game you are designing for
• Maximum one participation prize per person
• Final submission acceptance and eligibility is at the discretion of GREE
• Your Friend Code must be submitted with your entry in order to be eligible to receive a prize
• Final implementation and depiction of the winning entry will be at the discretion and final approval of GREE
• While the contest winners will be announced December 21st please note that final implementation of the winning Epic Boss will be done at a future date and will be announced on the GREE forums.
• GREE reserves the right to alter or revoke a winning entry at its discretion if it is found that the entry does not comply to the rules of the contest

Story:Charnon was a wolf born from from the wolf pack called Stargazers. He was your average wolf ,but bigger. His dad got captured by the enemy pack. He went to find the enemy pack and save his father, but he was naive
and got caught. The enemy pack whipped him until he was barely alive and blended in with the shadows. The Dark Prince was walking through the forest when he found Charnon and summoned his allies to save him from the pack in exchange for serving him.
Description: Charnon has a gray body and tail. He has a purple collar with spikes coming out every couple of inches . His nails are red and big.Charnon has a purple glow coming from the mouth and has red eyes with purple pupils. Charnon turns almost fully invisible every 10 seconds.His special attack shows him turning invisible then getting close-up and solidifies, then attacks.

Backstory: Once a general in the eternal war between darkness and light, Pathaleon tore through the Darkness' most ferocious entities and demons without a single scratch upon his golden-scaled armor. However, one day, his beloved family was murdered in the Battle of Aebin by the knights whom he looked to aid the most. His heart became corrupted by his anger and sorrow, which eventually led to his betrayal to the kingdom of heaven. Now, he serves under his new commander-in-chief, The Dark Prince.

Backstory:
The king of the Dragons, Seiryu, has come to our realm. He heard of a great evil known as the Dark Prince, which would threaten his world, once done with this realm and flew of to battle this evil. He underestimated his foe however and succumbed to the dark forces that now posses him. The only way his curse can be lifted, is if a warrior, with hard so true, would defeat him and weaken the dark forces inside of him, so he could vanish them themselves and go free towards the realm of his own to recover from battle and stand ready to defend his realm once he must.

Note from author:
I'm not an artist or designer, so my drawing doesn't look that good. Anyways, I made a sketch with the general idea of how he looks: a horned snake-like dragon, with a pearl floating in his hand and he attacks with (purple) lightning. His body is colored blue by the way. If you eventually choose this one, GREE, you can make it look like you want it to look, because you guys are designers and pretty damn good ones.

Description: the Griffin is a magical bird with a horses rear end and a birds body. The Griffins beak is as yellow as a gold bar and the Griffin has very large and sharp talins. The Griffin drops materials called beak fragments wich can be used to craft a Earth/Air legandary called Griffen platemail

Zeus, poiseden, and Hades those are my epic boss options
Zeus: made a huge mistake and was banished from olympus also if you make zeus an epic boss this will give a chance to introduce a new element light or lightning
Poiseden: thought that zeus shouldnt be the most powerful god and they should all be equal so the got banished from olympus for his arrogance and goes on a rampage and you end up having to fight him and beat him and the characters like gwen could try to talk with zeus and make some missions for you
Hades: was off going for a stroll and discovered your kingdom and waged war because we wanted the lovely gwen and he captures her and you have to fight hades to get her back and eventually you get a message from the dark prince saying something like "so i see you have gotten into some trouble with hades if you cant beat me the dark prince what makes you think you can beat hades god of the underworld and by the way i have teamed up with hades to destoy your kingdom" and at the end of the eb you rescue her and beat the dark prince and he send another message saying stuff like i have underestimated you or something like that

Still drawing my entry, but I thought that I'd share what I have already. Heavy work in progress! Will edit this post with the completed image, backstory and name soon.

Edit: I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out, so I decided to move onto my next concept. This is the final version unless I manage to sneak in some last-minute fixes, haha.

Epic Boss: Forest Guardian

Backstory: The Forest Guardian watches over the spirits of the forest. She is a beautiful spirit who blesses adventurers who are friends of the forest. However, those who wish to harm the forest are annihilated by her spiritual magic. With her mesmerizing eyes, she has lured countless of men into the dark woods.

Ok so I suck at drawing so I tried to explain with as much details as I could.

The back story for both is that the Black prince raided some ruins in a far country (Mexico) and corrupted their best warriors to fight for him so the Jaguar and Eagle warrior are evilish versions of their original form.

Jaguar Warrior/Ocelotl [Fire/Air]
Anthropomorphic Jaguar standing in 2 legs bare-chested showing a single golden necklace with Aztec motives and kilt-like trousers in hues of red, yellow and orange (with black rosettes on its skin)
Armed with a Macahuitl (wooden club with obsidian shards embedded in it) and using it a as a two handed sword.

Drop item: Jaguar fang

Armor: Jaguar Warrior armor

Pre-Evolved: Same kilt and jaguar skin spauldrons over the shoulders, headpiece almost non existent or just a diadem like piece with jaguar ears, macauitl club with very little obsidian on it and a very small buckler shield with jaguar skin on the front, maybe some sandals in the form of Paws.

Evolution 1: Helmet in the shape of the Jaguar’s head with the face of the knight showing thru the mouth, chest plate with the same necklace the EB had, full jumpsuit like armor made of jaguar skin. Larger club with more obsidian on it and the same buckler shield.

Final Evo: Full jaguar head with red eyes showing within the mouth, bulkier and muscular jumpsuit with the same jaguar skin pattern, same small bucker and even larger club with glittering obsidian and larger jaguar paws as boots.


Eagle Warrior/Cuautli [Air/Spirit]
Anthropomorphic eagle with blue and gray feathers overall standing proud and holding a large silver spear with obsidian point, the head of the eagle should have protruding feathers in a pony tail fashion and facing upwards with the end of the feathers going back and low at a shoulder level. The feathers on its body are to represent Aztec motives.

Drop item: Eagle feather

Armor: Eagle Warrior armor

Pre-Evolved: Arm sleeves with feathers and a head piece like a baseball hat in the shape of an eagle beak with some feathers in the same pony tail fashion, shirt made of feathers with a silver chest plate and a heavy belt also in silver, plain pants with knee silver protection and talon boots, the weapon should be a jagged obsidian knife and a small shield with a tribal Aztec theme and a few feathers at the bottom.

Evolution 1: Larger feathers forming wings from the sleeves, Eagle head helmet closing at the head of the knight with the face still showing at the opening of the beak, bulkier shoulders with fluffy feathers, the knife will turn into a Dart (short lance) with the same obsidian tip maybe a little larger and the shield maintains the form but a bit larger.

Final Evo: Full body feather suit with silver belt and plates at the chest, knees and elbows but not like the Roc’s, a bit simpler. The helmet should be all around now with the blueish eyes showing within the mouth, a large banner pole comes from the back with some Aztec signs and feathers from the end, the spear will be larger now and the obsidian tip as well with the shield increasing the amount of feathers at the bottom of it.

Backstory: Once a champion of the kingdom, Infernum was looked upon as an idol and inspirational knight. But during an invasion from the dark prince he had no choice but to turn to the dark sage to borrow his powers to take down the evil. He was consumed by the power and had gone rouge, controlled by nothing but his emotions; anger, despair, and madness.

Description: he wields a fiery blade and wears red and gray armor with the an engraved skull on his chestplates. Wears a chainmail underneat his chestplate and wears chainmail pants with knee high shin guards and boots. On his right hand he wields a claw of wind capable of cutting through virtually anything.
