I got exactly what I wanted. Looked at the individual leaderboard, then looked at the indi prize listing, then scored enough points to be in the tier I wanted to be in. Simple as that.

No exp for farming, so why complain about something that's free? If you don't need the units take a day or two off when your faction finishes the event.
