If you're a mostly free player, I'd suggest waiting for epic bosses. There will be one sooner or later that you can get close to 43 on. Save the gems for when you need it to help you cross over this...

I think you should max big 4 as well. What you need for level 43 EB are a decent range of element combinations and big4+ provide 4 good EB armour at only 500k a pop.

If you can buy gems for chests.. then go for it.

I think you should wait until the first EB you can get plus on. I don't feel like you should rush out to max an earth/spirit combination.

Stop fusing.. TFs should be your priority...

3/4 allows you to use 4 friends all together so gives more damage in total. 2/5 only lets you use 3 friends.

Yep. And just as a tip, if you can't defeat the epic boss 43 times, don't bother crafting and leveling the armour. You're better off spending all the resources to getting the bigger4+ maxed first...

Do you have um.. Assassins+ or Aegis+? I wouldn't level SCU anymore tbh.. the stats are terrible. I'd prioritise Roc+ last... The CA and AA, I wouldn't level either unless you need them for epic....

If you already have a maxed pyro+, I wouldn't level this if you have other armors to level.
